Private Instruction and Classes in Pastel & Graphite
Private/Small Group Instruction
Marikay offers instruction in both graphite drawing and pastel painting in private and semi-private (2-3 students) settings in her 3rd floor studio at Union Street Gallery, Chicago Heights, IL. Geared to the individual, these lessons begin with a 2 hour assessment of the applicant's background and skill level, with subsequent lessons prescribed in answer to the needs and interests of the student. Dates, times, and frequency are all set between student and teacher.
Group Classes
Group classes in soft pastel are taught seasonally, in an ongoing series of 5 pastel classes per set. Classes meet every other week, with suggested artmaking to be done between class meetings. All classes meet at Union Street Gallery, 1527 Otto Boulevard, Chicago Heights, IL, on Saturdays 9am - 11:30am, or Tuesdays 2pm - 4:30pm.
